TRABAJOS DE CONVERSIÓN DE FESTUCA A
BERMUDA
Siguiendo
el programa de reconversión de los hoyos del primer recorrido, los meses de
junio y julio convertiremos a bermuda los hoyos 1 y 9, junto con el complejo de
green del 8.
Con
esta labor no solo plantaremos en calles y roughs la nueva variedad de bermuda Celebration seleccionada en la reforma
de los 9 segundos, sino que extenderemos una capa de arena de 5 cm para mejorar
los suelos tan arcillosos. Esta práctica ya ha sido desarrollada
satisfactoriamente en el hoyo 7, el complejo de green del 9, tees del 2 y calle
del 3. Una vez finalizado, junto con la reforma de 9 hoyos en progreso,
contaremos con 12 hoyos totalmente reformados en calles y roughs.
El
programa consistirá en:
Del 8 al 28 de Junio:
El hoyo 1 permanecerá cerrado. El hoyo 8
se convertirá en un par 3 con un green provisional seguido de un par 4 con el
green original.
Del
29 de Junio al 24 de Julio: Cierre del green original del hoyo 8 instalando un par 4 en dicho
hoyo con un green provisional. Cierre de
Tee a mitad de fairway del hoyo 9, dejándolo como un par 3 con el green
original. Los del green 8 se harán con
antelación para abrir el green original lo antes posible.

CONVERSION
WORKS FROM TALL FESCUE TO BERMUDA
According to the program to improve the
front nine, holes 1st and 9th plus the 8th green complex will be under
construction in June and July.
During this work roughs and fairways will
be planted with the same Bermuda grass Celebration
selected for the back nine. In addition, 5 cm of sand will be added to these
areas to improve the inadequate clay soils of these holes. This procedure has
been implemented with satisfaction in hole 7th, green complex of 9th, tee of
2nd and fairway of 3rd hole. Once completed, 12 holes will have fairways and
roughs totally refurbished.
The program consists of:
From
8th to 28th of June: Hole 1 will be closed. Instead the hole
8 will be played as a par 3 on to a provisional green, followed by a Par 4 in
the same hole to the existing/original green.
From
29th June to the 24th of July: Green 8 and
first half of hole 9 will be closed. The hole 8 will be played as a par 4
on to a provisional green, and the hole 9 will be played as a par 3 on to its
original green. Works will be programmed to open green 8 as soon as possible.
