Durante las últimas semanas hemos venido
manteniendo el campo en condiciones de humedad permanente para el
establecimiento de la resiembra. En particular, los greenes de la segunda
vuelta se han encontrado más húmedos de lo normal, pues para regar los
antegreenes que han sido resembrados se usan los aspersores de green. Además, a
principios de semana hemos procedido a un riego profundo con el objetivo de
lavar las sales que se acumulan durante el verano (la escasa lluvia de los
últimos 5 meses no ha ayudado a rebajar los niveles de sales en el suelo).
Esperamos disculpen esta situación temporal y necesaria. Intentaremos tomar las
medidas posibles para minimizar este efecto.
Durante las próximas semanas, una vez abierto los
18 hoyos, seguiremos con la resiembra de calles. Así mismo el establecimiento
del rough debe seguir su curso hasta completar la cobertura esperada.
Seguiremos trabajando para conseguir que aquellas zonas en las que la semilla
no ha salido con éxito sean resembradas. Para conseguir este objetivo es
necesaria la colaboración de todos los socios respetando aquellas zonas más
sensibles. Los buggies se mantendrán en los caminos hasta que la planta tenga
la madurez suficiente para soportar un mayor tráfico.

During the last weeks,
we kept the course in permanent wet conditions for overseeding. In particular,
the greens on the back nine were wetter than usual, because the sprinklers from
the greens need to be opened to irrigate the aprons that have been overseeded.
In addition, earlier last week, we deep watered the greens in order to wash the
salts that accumulated during the summer (the low rainfall of the last five
months did not help reduce the salt levels in the soil). We apologize for this
temporary and necessary situation. Any measure that could minimize this effect
will be taken.
In the coming weeks,
with the 18-holes opened, we are going to continue overseeding the fairways.
Also, the establishment of the rough should continue until the expected
coverage is achieved. We will keep overseeding those areas where seed
germination failed or was too weak. This goal requires the collaboration of all
Members respecting the most sensitive areas. Buggies will be kept on the car
path until the plant is mature enough to withstand traffic.
